Alpha Attends Akron U Football Opener
The Brothers of Eta Tau Lambda Chapter showed and celebrated the Akron University Zips home opening football game with Alpha Tau Chapter. This is was a special occasion for several reasons:
- Akron University was debuting their new football stadium
- The first opponent was Morgan State University
- This is the start of the Eta Tau Lambda Chapter 50 year celebration
The Goal was the event over 100 tickets for the game. The brothers showed up in big numbers and we were able to sell every ticket we had. Assisting the brother were the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, the divas of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and other grek organizations from the NPHC. It was a stellar event and once the game started the crowd could see that when the Black Greek Organizations support something we give 100%. We occupied an entire section of seating at the game
The event began at 10 am with a tailgate party at the Alpha Tau House. Brother Stephens provided the band, while food and beverages were offered. It should be noted that the Alphas were the only greeks having a tailgate party to do so with class and elegance while having a wonderful time.
School spirit was definitely in the air as a packed crowd watch Akron University blow out Morgan State 41 - 0.
